Backed by an investment of more than ā¬200 million, the project, located south of Nairobi and adjacent to the Kipeto wind farm, will double Meridiamās wind generation capacity in Kenya. By combining wind generation with battery storage, Siruai provides a solution to the intermittency challenges of renewable energy. The battery system will help optimise electricity generation and enhance grid stability, while improving service quality and continuity by reducing outages and voltage fluctuations.
