Earlier this year, I was proud to work with Beacon Impact, the advocacy partner of the Beacon Center of Tennessee, to sponsor SB282: The Right to Try for Individualized Treatments Act, or Right to Try 2.0. This law will provide terminally ill patients and their families with more options designed specifically for their DNA. Strong bipartisan support in the General Assembly allowed Tennessee to join other states, including Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Arizona, Nevada, North Carolina, and Arkansas, in enacting this important law.
