Nate Weitzer is a high school sports reporter covering football, boys’ basketball, and boys’ lacrosse. He has covered high school sports since 2014, three-plus years with ESPNBoston and other outlets, then with the Globe since 2018. Nate earned an MS in sports journalism at Boston University, graduating in 2012. He had an internship at BU Today covering BU sports, a general news internship at Quincy Patriot Ledger, and he joined the ESPNBoston staff, becoming assistant editor before the site shuttered in 2017. In addition to Globe Schools, he has written several articles for Globe NH focusing on mountain sports, endurance events, ski content, and more in the north country. He also writes for New England Ski Journal on similar topics.
