The majority of the oil tankers carrying fuel from Reliance refineries in Jamnagar, Gujarat, are sailing via the Cape of Good Hope. This is to avoid the red sea amid these repeated attacks on cargo ships, as per shipping sources and ship tracking data. Meanwhile, the number of ships sailing around the southern tip of Africa is up 85% from the first half of December after attacks by Yemen’s Houthi rebels in response to Israel’s Gaza War.
