Italy’s 2023 deficit of 7.4% the highest in Europe – Business

Although Italy’s budget deficit drop from 8.6% of GDP in 2022 to 7.4 % last year, it still had the biggest deficit in the EU, Eurostat said on Monday. Italy was followed by Hungary, with a deficit-to-GDP ratio of 6.7%, and Romania, at 6.6%. (ANSA)
