Walton-on-Thames: Rush hour delays as one of UK’s busiest rail lines closes after South Western Railway train hits object on track

No one was injured in the incident and all passengers left the train safely, but lines through the area are blocked while investigators look into what happened and it will be “some time” before services resume.
